I loved the show. The story line is really moving, especially the song "You Are My Own". Norman Large as Gerard Carriere was fabulous! I really enjoyed myself and am still talking about it with friends. I was a little disappointed at first when The Phantom was replaced by an understudy in the second act, but by the end of the show I completely forgot he was the understudy and feel that he might have been a better singer then the original. It was a great experience to see two people play the same role, and a tribute to the live theatrical experience.
Book by Arthur Kopit
Music by Maury Yeston
Based on the Gaston Laroux novel, “Phantom of the Opera”
Presented by the Fullerton Civic Light Opera in 1995 to rave reviews and standing ovations, we’ve been asked to bring this stunning thriller back to the stage. It is an emotional, intimate story of the disfigured Phantom and his beautiful protégé, Christine. We are most fortunate in securing Robert Patteri to reprise his role as the Phantom and VTeressa Bryne in her role as Christine. The show is opulent in its setting and features a beautiful score. This is one you won’t want to miss!
