If you're looking for outrageous musical comedy, you've just found the Holy Grail. Spamalot is a hilariously over-the-top extravaganza from Monty Python alum Eric Idle that borrows lovingly (and unapologetically) from the film classic Monty Python and the Holy Grail. In telling the tale of King Arthur and his epic quest with the Knights of the Round Table, this endlessly amusing musical -- which won three Tony Awards including Best Musical during its original Broadway run -- features such outlandish oddities as flatulent Frenchmen, flying cows, killer rabbits and The Knights Who Say Ni (with some gorgeous showgirls thrown into the mix as well). The musical numbers feature plenty of Python favorites including "Always Look on the Bright Side of Life" and "The Song That Goes Like This." Learn More

Food poisoning the evening before couldn't stop me from seeing this show. Although my strength had been sapped, I was able to attend Plan 9 and thoroughly enjoyed the play.
I had seen the original movie from Ed Wood and even though the movie is considered the worst film of all time, the play will not uttered in that same breath.
It was a fabulous rendition! All the actors were perfect in their performances and the play itself was very entertaining.
If you have a chance, get out and see this play. It is very worth your time, even if you are sick. Kudos to everyone involved. It was a "healing" time of laughter and fun. I am glad I was able to make it.
