This irreverent Southern-fried musical comedy covers all the double-wide bases -- agoraphobia, adultery, bad perms, spray cheese and road kill -- as it follows the daytime television-worthy saga of Pippi, a stripper on the run who holes up at Armadillo Acres trailer park. The voluptuous Pippi soon comes between fellow trailer park residents Jeannie, a Dr. Phil-loving housewife, and her toll-collector husband, Norbert -- and the whole trailer park must work together to save the marriage. This raucous Off-Broadway smash by Betty Keslo features a country, rock, R&B and disco score.

A redneck musical with sympathetic white trash, singable ditties, and a melodrama story - Very entertaining! Small cozy theater in downtown Fullerton. Worth seeing.

My cheeks hurt from laughing. Be prepared to be offended in the best way possible. The cast has great comedic timing. Make this your evening rendezvous and you won't regret it!

Description

There's a new tenant at Armadillo Acres—and she's wreaking havoc all over Florida's most exclusive trailer park. When Pippi, the stripper on the run, comes between the Dr. Phil–loving, agoraphobic Jeannie and her tollbooth collector husband—the storms begin to brew. Adultery, strippers, murderous ex-boyfriends, Costco and the Ice Capades. Entertaining and tuneful, Trailer Park shines like aluminum siding.

Jack Millis has directed throughout Orange County.  His productions include the Southern California premieres of Small Domestic Acts and Thrill Me, the Orange County premieres of Zanna, Don't! and Happy Endings Are Extra and the audience and critically acclaimed production of Angels in America: Millennium Approaches for Theatre Out/Maverick.  He recently directed The Little Dog Laughed for the Long Beach Playhouse.  He is very honored to have been asked to direct a show that he has been wanting to do for the past 5 years, especially at a theatre for which he has a lot of respect and with such a talented cast and crew.
