Excellent play-loved the effects.
The show was more than I expected. It was my first time at this theater and the sets & acting were top notch. Went to this because my son is reading Tresure Island in school, but that day he saw the movie in class and was not thrilled to see it again (TI overload). But, we sat in the front row and had pirates dieing at our feet, sword play right in front of us and Blind Pew's hand almost in his face. He loved it! Definitely will keep an eye on what this theater does in the future.
My friend and I took our daughters(10, 9, and 5 years) to this play and we(5 females) all loved it. So even though the cast was almost all men (1 women),and had a lot of sword fighting/action adventure, it is not just a play for males.
My daughter and I also went to Grease(Taylor Hicks) at Orange County Performing Arts the same weekend, we both agreed that Treasure Island was as entertaining or even more entertaining than Grease.
Treasure Island was top notch! My daughter wants to go back again, she thinks this was too good for daddy to have missed!
