In this encore performance, Terri Mowrey uses song, dance, drama and comedy to share her lifelong love of musical theater with you. Voted Best Orange County Actress 2011 by the OC Weekly, Mowrey's hilarious and personal story is told by reenacting the movie version of the 1961 musical West Side Story in her small apartment. While this might sound like theatrical overkill, Mowrey pulls the effort off seamlessly through musical numbers and personal insights. You'll love her singing, dancing and funny interjections in this unique performance.

A one woman show by a very gifted performer. Terri's take on West Side Story was both insightful and hilarious and I will never be able to see or hear it again without thinking of Terri.

I saw this show last year at Monkey Wrench, and if anything it has expanded and improved. Terri Mowrey's personal recreation of West Side Story in her "home" is remarkably true to the film and hilarious in its parodies of the film's cheesiness and acting, and it's also loving in its affection for the Latino characters, "The first brown people in leading roles I'd ever seen," she explains. She dances, sings and impersonates Keanu Reaves to perfection. I would see this show again and again. Mowrey is one of the best talents in the OC.

About the Ticket Supplier: Hunger Artists Theatre Company

Founded in 1996 by a group of longtime friends, The Hunger Artists Theatre Company is the first Orange County-based alternative theater to grow out of Orange Coast College's Repertory Theater. While at Coast, the future members of The Hunger Artists honed their craft as actors, directors, playwrights and technicians, while developing the hip, smart, irreverent attitude and subversive theatrical sensibility that would later earn them notice as one of the county's most adventurous and unpredictable small theater companies.
