The location, venue and food was good. Doors did not open until 8:15pm which resulted in a long line in the hot sun. Regina arrived an additional hour late but performed as the truly talented singer that she is.

I purchased tickets for my mom and me. Our favorite ode to motherhood is "If I Could" by Regina Belle. Unfortunately, I could not attend and instead my mom went with my aunt. To my great dissappointment, I feel we were mislead. Turns our this was some sort of a foundation event complete with a keynote speaker on a topic nobody was there to hear about. My family arrived at 6:30 but were left standing in a line to get into a banquet hall that was part of the Blue Dolphin until around 7:30 pm. The tickets were for a 7:00 show but the show began with a talk about 8:20pm. They were grossly understaffed with servers. After the show, my family had to wait an hour to settle their bill for food and drinks. The only plus is my family enjoyed Regina Belle's 5 song set. I am very dissapointed with the Ashleigh Group and would not purchase tickets to another event.

There was not one thing that went well. At least we paid the reduced Goldstar price of $20,00 and not the full price of $40.00, through the sponsors (The Ashleigh Group). We would have been so mad if we had paid full price!! The fact that Regina Belle was not going to be performing with a band and back up singers should have been disclosed up front. We definitely would not have attended had we known this. Frankly, I can listen to her CDs, etc. rather than to attend a show with tracks playing the backround instead of a live band & back up singers!! Her voice was off key, a little, at first and there were some songs she over sang (probably to compensate for the fact she did not have her band). She even mentioned, a couple of times, she missed not having them there and it was not the same. She also did not scratch the surface of the vast amount of music she should have sung, from her repertoire. She did do good on some other songs, though. The sponsors were highly unorganized and they placed too many people at our assigned table, thus, we were not able to sit there. They never came back to correct the situation, so we ended up randomly picking another table in the back. This is very unprofessional! I understand minor mistakes can happen, but their level of mishaps was ridiculous and they did not effectively rectify things. It appears perhaps they are not fully ready to be in this line of business. When they checked the list of patrons names at the tables, it appeared there were several cases whereby each greeter's table sheet read something different. This is probably why the seating arrangements were screwed up....no one did the official "checks and balances" prior to the show to ensure tables were not overbooked. The couple at our table paid the regular rate of $40.00 each and were suppose to be at Table 2 (by the stage) but were placed in the very back with us. Needless to say, they were upset and rightfully so! The sponsors told them to just sit in the back even though it was clearly their error in making the seating arrangements. We also observed that some people could not even see the small stage because of the obstruction of view (a bookcase) close by. Plus. stage should have been elevated so people in the back could see Regina perform. Another thing which was ridiculous is we had to wait a long time, in a line outside in the heat, to get in. So, the process took much longer to get inside and be seated. We were tired and ready to be seated. The show was very late starting, too. Some patrons around us said their food was cold and was not that good. Thank goodness we decided to eat in the restaurant area before we went downstairs for the show, so we had no complaints about the food or waiter staff. This event was truly a waste of our time and I will never ever attend another show sponsored by The Ashleigh Group or go to The Blue Dolphin for a show, again!!!! The parking lot is also not that big to easily accomodate that number of people. We got there early, so it was not a problem for us, but a problem for some sitting close by to us who got stuck in traffic. Glad the location was not far from our home, so we did not waste much gas to get there, for this show. In the future, we will stick with eating at The Blue Dolphin Restaurant (the food in the restaurant area is really good plus the waiters are great), instead of going to shows at their banquet hall located on the lower level, of the building.

The show was great once it started 1 hr late.Goldstar advertised the show would start @ 7 pm which was incorrect. The show was scheduled to start @ 8pm. Doors did not open until 7p.m. It turns out there was a previously scheduled event going on. There was insufficient seating for the attendees. Food was being served throughout the show which was a distraction for me. Regina Belle's performance was wonderful!!!
