Chelsea Handler -- the irreverent host of the late night talk show Chelsea Lately and author of books like My Horizontal Life: A Collection of One-Night Stands, Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang and Are You There, Vodka? It's Me, Chelsea -- sits down to discuss her latest book with Academy Award-winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow. An absurd and hilarious collection of travel essays, Uganda Be Kidding Me finds Handler detailing her exploits while on safari in Africa, attempting to kayak in the Bahamas and escaping from a German hospital on crutches. Following the conversation with Paltrow (which is sure to be filled with over-the-top tales, questionable travel tips and answers to pressing questions), Handler will be signing copies of her book. Abbott & Costello were so talented & worked so well together, which is always evident in all of their films. It is always a treat to see these classics on the big screen, especially when the film also shows the talents of the Andrew Sisters & their back-up orchestra of real true musicians.
The introduction documentary with his 2 daughters added a sensitive & touching beginning dealing with the greatness of these 2 men, who made their living on film, spending several hours a day in each others company. There will never be another team like Abbott & Costello - that's what makes these showings on the big screen so priceless.
Everyone should take advantage of viewing all classic movies on the big screen whenever they are shown. There's no comparison to viewing a classic on television verses the big screen. All of the details of the movie are so much more enjoyable.
Leonard Maltin calls this movie "Prime A&C!"
Featuring a performance by the Andrews Sisters
With Joan Davis, Richard Carlson, Evelyn Ankers, Mischa Auer and Shemp Howard
Special guests include Lou Costello's daughters, Chis and Paddy Costello.
