This is the first time I have attended a production by the Stepping Stone Players, and I must say that I was quite pleasantly surprised. The actor playing "Ren", the lead, was excellent. Everyone seemed to be giving it their all and having a good time. This is the first time that I have ever seen Footloose: The Musical, and I feel that they delivered a good production. I do think, however, that inviting the local mayor or coucilmen to do cameo appearances is real cheeseball - something you might expect in Iowa, perhaps. Other than that, the venue was perfect, great orchestra, and even microphones to support the singers. Well done.Written on Sep 26 2011

Stepping Stone Players', Footloose was great. Always a good show. Very professional. Can't beat live theater with live orchestra. I was not disappointed! Looking forward to Peter Pan next year.Written on Sep 26 2011

It is a small, local production so one should not expect too much. That said, I enjoyed it. The dancing is ok, the singing better, and some of the acting quite good. I especially enjoyed Vsev Krawczeniuk as the Rev. Shaw. His portrayal of the self-tortured preacher was very moving and he sings very well. I was pleasantly surprised.Written on Sep 26 2011
