Or, add your own...plenty of eating places located very close to the theater, reasonably priced & a little higher end if that's what you are looking for. Public parking was a little difficult, so might as well park in the parking structure on Maryland as the first 90 mins. are free. Total cost of just the performance was $1!!!!

Description

Mozart loved musical innovation and improvising at the piano.  Celebrate the 250th anniversary of his birth with two talented pianists.  Jeffrey Kahane and his son Gabriel, a 20-something-year-old singer/songwriter and composer, team up for a 4-hand Mozart sonata and a toe-tapping jazz improvisation.  You’ll also hear the beautiful wind composition featured in the Oscar-winning movie Amadeus.

Pre-concert activities at 1pm:

  • Enjoy mask-making with* Shakuntula Creative Arts *in honor of New Orleans, the home of jazz.
  • Instrument Petting Zoo: Kids get to bang, pluck, strike and blow on real instruments! LACO’s Instrument Petting Zoo is a musical menagerie acquainting families with instruments that make up the orchestra.
