Description
Bienvenue en France! The 21-year-old French pianist Lise de la Salle has emerged as one of the most acclaimed artists of her generation. She makes her Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra debut in Saint-Saëns’ delightful, show-stopping nod to Parisian cabaret music in the Piano Concerto No. 2 in G minor. Her dynamic countryman Louis Langrée, celebrated music director of New York’s Mostly Mozart Festival, is the evening's guest conductor. Langrée illuminates a Ravel gem and brings his refined musical sensibility, formidable technique and radiant personality to the challenge of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 2.
