I thought the dancing was incredible. I enjoyed seeing pictures of Buenos Aires in the background. The singers and musicians were good but there were too many musical interludes. It would have been better as dancing only. There were too many people talking and taking pictures.Written on May 02 2011

Description
Noche de Tango 2011 (Tango Night 2011) is an exciting show featuring the leading and internationally-acclaimed tango singers Carlos Bosio and Esther Segovia, with a live 5-piece tango orchestra conducted by Maestro Dino Durand and the Buenos Aires Dance Company, bringing their sensual, fiery and passionate tango choreographies to the Alex Theatre stage. The orchestra will feature the traditional 'bandoneon,' piano, guitar, acoustic bass and violin. The program includes traditional and modern pieces of the Argentine Tango repertoire.
Noche de Tango 2011 brings the legendary and sensual tango to life through music, song and dance as never seen before in the USA. The show covers tango’s humble beginnings in the slums and bars of Buenos Aires, revisiting the “Golden Era” of Carlos Gardel, Anibal Troilo and the Orquesta Típica de D’arienzo, and arriving to the contemporary movements of Astor Piazzolla and others, all along following tango to the lofty position it enjoys today as an international icon.
