Glendale Centre Theatre presents The Foreigner, a farce set at a Georgia fishing lodge which is visited by a British sergeant and his shy English friend, Charlie. The sergeant declares to all that Charlie is a foreigner and speaks no English (so he won't have to carry on conversations). It's what Charlie overhears, but shouldn't that fuels the non-stop hilarity and sets up the wildly funny climax!

The pacing was a little slow - it took almost 3 hours for a 2-act play.Written on Jan 21 2008
It was a farce, in my opinion, a farce needs to be quick and witty in order to be funny - milking lines and pausing between jokes just doesn't work out well.

I always enjoy the Glendale Center Theater and this was especially enjoyable because I got the ticket through GoldStar. The play was funny and well cast. The cast members seemed to like performing as much as the audience liked watching. The dialog was funny and it was altogether great fun. I would always recommend the Glendale Center Theater for any of their performances. It has easy freeway access, close by parking and great restaurants nearby. It's a wonderful way to spend an evening.Written on Feb 12 2008
