Haddonfield Plays and Players presents Tennessee Williams' famous drama A Streetcar Named Desire. Set in New Orleans' French Quarter, it's the story of fading Southern beauty Blanche DuBois, who comes to stay at her sister Stella's apartment, where she is menaced by Stella's husband, the brutish Stanley Kowalski. A Streetcar Named Desire premiered in New York in 1947 and cemented Williams' reputation as one of the greatest American playwrights, winning him a New York's Critics Circle Award and a Pulitzer Prize.
