Grammy Award-winning soul songstress Joss Stone exploded onto the American music scene with her 2007 album, Introducing Joss Stone, which marked the second-ever highest debut for a British female solo artist on the Billboard 200. Five Grammy nominations (and one win) later, Stone remains a musical force to be reckoned with, known best for such hit songs as "Fell in Love With a Boy," "You Had Me," "Family Affair" and "I Put a Spell on You." For this special show at the Ravinia Pavilion, Stone will be joined by fellow Grammy winner Lisa Fischer, a massively talented R&B vocalist and songwriter. Best known for her hit single "How Can I Ease the Pain," as well as her 25-year tenure of touring with The Rolling Stones -- where she often joins Mick Jagger for duets -- Fischer was recently featured in the Academy Award-winning documentary 20 Feet from Stardom, which put the spotlight on some of the industry's most talented background vocalists. Beautiful picnic park w great sound system. But-- picnic means lots and lots of schlepping! Restaurants are either expensive, have long lines, or awkward/no seating. We either eat before and carry wine in and enjoy it on a bench before show or we eat at restaurant in Highland Oark and carry wine in to enjoy on a bench before show. There are also picnic tables in NECorner if we bring food- then enjoy wine on a bench before the show. No schlepping required to enjoy the lovely place.Singer-Songwriter Lyle Lovett & His Large Band dining • Aug 04 2014 star this tip starred

I have been a hug Beach Boys (Brian Wilson) fan since the 1960's. I still listen to their music continuously. It has such a way of lifting your spirit and making you happy. I love to listen to the groups harmonies and the upbeat music. I have seen this group many times in my life and each time I walk away feeling they are amazing and so talented! The words to the songs are meaningful and Brian is one awesome composer.
This concert is one I will truly remember... I walked away feeling I got my monies worth for a fabulous concert. The music was incredible, the harmonies are still there and Brian, Al and Dave and the other great musicians played all my favorite songs which hold a special place in my heart. They started out strong and finished stronger!
Ravinia is a beautiful place with enjoy a beautiful summer evening (this was my first time there). It has great acoustics under the shelter and a quaint feel in the entire park. I was very excited to share this experience with my daughter and her friends. I can truly say it was a great night!! One to remember. I wish more bands would go back to this type of music. :)

I loved the show! The place was packed, even though it rained, and everyone was on their feet singing to the music and dancing. Ravinia should have a sign about not being able to bring food and drink in the Pavilion. I had just bought coffee...continued

About the Ticket Supplier: Ravinia FestivalThere's more to Ravinia than merely the world's greatest music. For as many people who walk through Ravinia's gate each summer, there are just as many ways to enjoy what they call "The Ravinia Experience."
For some, it all starts with a picnic picked up along the way, followed by a hop on the train and greeting your friends at your favorite spot on the lawn. Gradually, day turns into evening, and from the comfort of your perfect lawn spot, it culminates in a great concert by candlelight as you gaze at the stars above.
For others, it's a dinner reservation at one of Ravinia's popular on-site restaurants followed by a casual stroll to the Pavilion, where you go to see and hear the stars on the stage.
Bring your own lavish picnic, treat yourself to an ice cream cone at intermission, or just come as you are and leave the details to them.
Since 1904, Ravinia has been Chicago's "sound of summer," a place where you can meet up with your friends, have a wonderful time and hear some of the greatest music in the world. They've got stars on the stage and stars in the sky, and it's all within your reach. Enjoy!
