Mike Kolbuk Living in the Suburban Cultural Desert Exquisite playing along with personality. Can't ask for much more.
Anonymous Member They were great. When we saw that all but two of the original group had been replaced by young men we were concerned. The entire group was terrific. The talent of the young musicians was outstanding and the they are just a lot of fun! We would highly recommend them to anyone who enjoys music. |

More Details About This Event: Hailing from Toronto, the members of Canadian Brass are often known as the “fabulous five.” With imagination and musicianship and an attraction to Baroque music, Canadian Brass has continuously filled concert halls for over thirty years. With a strong passion for passing on their knowledge and love of music to younger generations of a players, they incorporate master classes into their near constant touring schedule. They have recorded the works of Purcell, Gabrieli, and Beethoven, but also venture into playing jazz, contemporary concert music and popular songs. Their staple of excellence has lifted the art of the brass quintet to its popular status today.
About Ravinia Festival: There's more to Ravinia than merely the world's greatest music. For as many people who walk through Ravinia's gate each summer, there are just as many ways to enjoy what they call "The Ravinia Experience."
About Ravinia Pavilion: Ravinia's 3,200-seat open-air, covered Pavilion is the summer home of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, jazz luminaries and legends, and some of the greatest pop, folk, blues and country musicians of today. Since the early 1900's, Ravinia has presented opera in concert. Today, it continues that tradition with rare productions of world music, as well as concert performances of opera with supertitles and musical theater.Ravinia's expansive lawn offers an informal and comfortable place to picnic while enjoying Pavilion and Martin Theatre concerts, broadcast to the lawn audience through their state-of-the-art sound system. Bring your own picnic or visit their variety of on-site restaurants and food and beverage kiosks. Stretch out on a blanket you bring, or rent a lawn chair. It's easy!
