Grammy Award-winning soul songstress Joss Stone exploded onto the American music scene with her 2007 album, Introducing Joss Stone, which marked the second-ever highest debut for a British female solo artist on the Billboard 200. Five Grammy nominations (and one win) later, Stone remains a musical force to be reckoned with, known best for such hit songs as "Fell in Love With a Boy," "You Had Me," "Family Affair" and "I Put a Spell on You." For this special show at the Ravinia Pavilion, Stone will be joined by fellow Grammy winner Lisa Fischer, a massively talented R&B vocalist and songwriter. Best known for her hit single "How Can I Ease the Pain," as well as her 25-year tenure of touring with The Rolling Stones -- where she often joins Mick Jagger for duets -- Fischer was recently featured in the Academy Award-winning documentary 20 Feet from Stardom, which put the spotlight on some of the industry's most talented background vocalists. Beautiful picnic park w great sound system. But-- picnic means lots and lots of schlepping! Restaurants are either expensive, have long lines, or awkward/no seating. We either eat before and carry wine in and enjoy it on a bench before show or we eat at restaurant in Highland Oark and carry wine in to enjoy on a bench before show. There are also picnic tables in NECorner if we bring food- then enjoy wine on a bench before the show. No schlepping required to enjoy the lovely place.Singer-Songwriter Lyle Lovett & His Large Band dining • Aug 04 2014 star this tip starred

We've been to several John Hiatt concerts over the years at Ravinia, and he and his wonderful band never disappoint. It is obvious that they love what they do, and we were once again treated to a great concert. And it was a treat to be able to see Robert Cray and his band open, as we love their music, but had never seen them in person before. What was disappointing was the level of disrespect shown by the pavilion audience at Ravinia during Robert Cray's performance. Many people chose not to take their seats until John Hiatt's show, and they really missed out on one of the greatest blues bands around currently. And many who were in their seats were noisy and just plain annoying. That made for a challenging listening experience for those of us who are fans of Robert Cray, and who do respect him for his contribution to the blues scene today.

Now I remember why Robert Cray is an opening act when he used to be a headliner. I have seen Cray 4 times and Hiatt 9-10 times. Cray was very methodical and almost boring - his music did not reasonate and was bland. Hiatt, as always, put on a...continued

About the Ticket Supplier: Ravinia FestivalThere's more to Ravinia than merely the world's greatest music. For as many people who walk through Ravinia's gate each summer, there are just as many ways to enjoy what they call "The Ravinia Experience."
For some, it all starts with a picnic picked up along the way, followed by a hop on the train and greeting your friends at your favorite spot on the lawn. Gradually, day turns into evening, and from the comfort of your perfect lawn spot, it culminates in a great concert by candlelight as you gaze at the stars above.
For others, it's a dinner reservation at one of Ravinia's popular on-site restaurants followed by a casual stroll to the Pavilion, where you go to see and hear the stars on the stage.
Bring your own lavish picnic, treat yourself to an ice cream cone at intermission, or just come as you are and leave the details to them.
Since 1904, Ravinia has been Chicago's "sound of summer," a place where you can meet up with your friends, have a wonderful time and hear some of the greatest music in the world. They've got stars on the stage and stars in the sky, and it's all within your reach. Enjoy!
