More Details
The Punch Brothers are a creation of composer-singer-mandolinist Chris Thile. Thile, whose first solo album was released at age thirteen, was a member of the Grammy-Award winning Nickel Creek. His Punch Brothers bandmates are some of the most in-demand performers in the realm of bluegrass, folk, and traditional music. The music centers around the Thile’s four-movement composition, The Blind Leaving the Blind, on which they worked to maintain the live performance feel when recording. As for Thile, “I can’t imagine being more excited about a project than I am about Punch Brothers. The possibilities are endless with these guys!”
