<p>The much-anticipated, annual LA tradition of Brazilian Summer Festival (now in its 16th year) erupts at the Ford Amphitheatre. The 2009 edition features the rhythms of Rio de Janeiro through the Samba and Bossanova, plus the acrobatic Capoeira show with LA Legend Mestre Amen and dancers and the exuberant Brazilian choreographies of the Vai-vai Sambaxé troupe. Headlining is Latin Grammy-nominated singer Diogo Nogueira, directly from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Opening the festival is pianist Marcos Ariel with a variety of bossanova beats! Doors open two hours prior to the show for picnicking, booths and music from DJ Izael.</p>
