Loved it even more than last year! Been a fan of the Fureys since our first trip to Ireland .We bought " the essential Fureys" in Galway and listen to it often.And.of course, the Ford is our favorite theater.Written on Sep 13 2010

The furys were excellent. However, Ken O'Malley went on for far too long.Written on Sep 14 2010
Ten to fifteen minutes would have been more than enough.

Description
The Fureys and Davey Arthur are well known for their classics such as "When you were Sweet 16", "Scarlet Ribbons", "Red Rose Cafe" & many more. Their “Green Fields of France” is former British Prime Minister Tony Blair’s favorite peace song of all time. This will be Southern California's only chance to see these world renowned Celtic musicians. "The night promises to be the best yet and we have seen some great nights over the years" said Thom MacNamara, long time producer of the annual event. "We are honored to host these icons of Irish music". Dublin born Ken O'Malley, the wonderful Irish balladeer, will open the show with an acoustic set after the traditional Los Angeles Police Emerald Society Pipes and Drums performance starts off the night. Rounding out the evening will be performances from champion dancers, Megan and Adam Kirk as well as the McCartan School of Irish Dance.
