Set in 1979, A Little Bit of Broadway is a show about creating the greatest work of a Tin Pan Alley songwriter named Chester Moore. The show the actors create is based on his life’s work. The actors are called into what they think is an audition as detailed in Chester’s will. They become the character of this songwriter, some of his wives, publishers and enemies and the many other souls that populated his life and interact with each other fleshing out pre-existing relationships. The production is threatened however when his previous heirs have financial issues that must be resolved or will bring down the curtain of this show forever. The enemy is Chester’s nephew: a money-hungry shark of a lawyer with no love of show business. After much struggle and negotiation, the actors are finally permitted to put on their show to great critical and artistic response proving for once and all “There’s A Little Bit of Broadway in all of us.”
