What's not to like?? Well, actually there is one thing: the dire lack of legroom for the seats on the balcony. I am tallish (about 6'), and my right leg actually cramped up during the movie. Minus one star for that--it really affected my ability to enjoy what was otherwise a fantastic experience.Written on Apr 23 2011
I like the ElCap a lot and seeing the organist is always fascinating and fun. My girlfriend and I took the kids and they loved it too. The movie itself is captivating and beautiful. Disney chose to give us more reality than fantasy here, and the story is harsh and brutal at times--but this is the way life is for these animals. Kids/family movies often tend to sugar-coat everything, and this was a refreshing change. There is a happy ending, but not without plenty of pain and sadness along the way.
Note: younger viewers (<6) might me a little somewhat polarized by the graphic intensity of the hunt sequences, but they are vital to the film and I understand why they are included--I personally loved them and did not find them in appropriate. We shelter our kids a bit too much from the often-harsh realities of life these days. This movie does a fantastic job of removing the rose-colored glasses. Hats off, Disney.

Wonderful job Disney did with this information - I saw the National Geographic film of Lions in Africa & I felt this was so much better. The sound track was perfect for this film, & the pre-show with live animals from around the world was a special bonus for the audience, especially the younger children in attendance.Written on May 26 2011

I enjoyed the preshow from the Widlife Learning Center with the animals. The movie was just breathtaking with the scenery and the animal footage was superb. A must see movie for all animal lovers!
I am looking forward to seeing Cars 2 next month at El Capitan.

Description
An epic true story set against the backdrop of one of the wildest places on Earth, African Cats captures the real-life love, humor and determination of the majestic kings of the Savanna. Narrated by Oscar-nominated actor Samuel L. Jackson, the story features Mara, an endearing lion cub who strives to grow up with her mother’s strings, spirit and wisdom; Sita, a fearless cheetah and single mother of five mischievous newborns; and Fang, a proud leader of the pride who must defend his family from a rival lion and his sons. Disneynature brings The Lion King to life on the big screen in this true life adventure directed by Keith Scholey and Alastair Fothergill (Earth).
