It was an interesting concept-the awkwardness and tensions that can arise from honest discussion after the blur of sex-but the actors were fairly amateur, flubbing some lines, and the writing didn't go far enough. The worst part was the second half after intermission-it seemed like a farfetched idea of improv style comedy-no actual punchlines, some strange group piece about a Wall Street banker who looks like he's actually 15, who meets a girl in a bar, and whose family abducts him and randomly quotes Thoreau like it was their bible. It was quirky, but ultimately draining, as it had no direction. It also didn't match any of the quick scenes in the first half and seemed out of place.Written on May 09 2008
