It was a major ordeal to get to El Capitan this Saturday due to the rain and Oscars. Though Goldstar sent a thoughtful email on parking suggestions at Hollywood & Highland, we were directed to another lot further away due to the Oscar’s, which ultimately had us circling around the area for a good 45 minutes.Written on Mar 08 2010
El Capitan did a great job at making the evening spectacular, with original props and costumes on display. The staff was quite friendly and helpful in identifying seats for us as the whole theater was packed.
I will say, however, that the movie was quite disappointing. Though beautifully shot, the plot was mediocre at best and had me slumped in my seat in boredom midway through.

Disney/El Capitan always does a great job of making events a big deal. Last night they had jugglers entertaining the waiting crowds, original costumes on display, and an amazing collection of props from the movie. There was a pre-show that included music, games, and many prizes. It was a lot of fun to see so many people show up in costume. It was a great evening...but I was disappointed in the movie itself. Tim Burton fell asleep on this one.Written on Mar 05 2010

It was my first visit to El Capitan....and probably my last. The check in process was a complete mess! There were 3 lines and despite all the information on the website stating no one can save seats or places in line there were about 20- 30 people that cut the line. It was completely unorganized. The pre-show and costumes were cool but not worth the mess you have to deal with to get in. The movie started about half hour late and we waited in line for about 2 hours even though we had tickets.Written on Mar 08 2010
