John Lennon was the instigator of filmmaker Tony Palmer's landmark British TV series that boldly set out to tell the story of 20th century popular music in a series of distinctive films. These films were barely seen in the U.S. and represent a rich celebration of unforgettable music. Palmer will personally introduce each of the programs, providing background to the series and sharing some of his experiences making the films.
