Now in its second year, An Evening of Independence at the Ford Amphitheatre will showcase some of the most talented emerging singer-songwriters and special guests, including Matt Scannell (frontman of Vertical Horizon), Virgin recording artist A Fine Frenzy, CBS/Mark Burnett's "Rockstar Supernova" finalist Ryan Star, Universal recording artist Tyrone Wells and more.

I really loooooooved Trevor Hall and 1 or 2 of the other performers. Some were slightly disappointing but this was more than compensated by the set that Trevor Hall did. It's a great open air ampitheater and the pre-show and picnicking option was the perfect way to start the evening.
The Ford Amphitheatre is a beautiful outdoor venue. Very intimate and great sound. Don't forget to bring a sweater!

RYAN STAR was really impressive. Beautiful voice, and a dynamic
showman. I hope to see more of his performances.

The 1241-seat outdoor Ford Amphitheatre is set against a backdrop of cypresses and chaparral in the Hollywood Hills. It is relatively intimate: no patron is more than 96 feet away from the stage. Music, dance, film, theatre and family events are presented during the summer months. The Ford Amphitheatre Season is a program of the Los Angeles County Arts Commission.
Koffeehouse Music Productions, known for creating live outdoor performance stages for some of the best indie and emerging singer/songwriters around, presents a music festival to benefit The Guitar Center Music Foundation and MSFriends. The concert will feature eight to ten immensely talented performers.
