While online peer-to-peer and social networks transform the music industry, there is no substitute for the live music experience, which is the only way for the audience to truly absorb the essence of a musician. Koffeehouse understands that the most important network will always be composed of real, live people, especially for the independent artists whose creativity fuels the industry.

Koffeehouse chose The Guitar Center Music Foundation as the recipient of 100% of the net proceeds from the festival because of their common belief that music participation is an essential element in the fabric of an enduring society. The Guitar Center Music Foundation was created to provide funding and resources for music programs across America.
