A most interesting interpretation with excellent use of cinema to enhance this avant garde performance. Jessye Norman's voice is always amazing and Neena Freelon is wonderful to hear as were the two other performers The drummer was a joy and the orchestra and conductor innovative. In all it was good. It was hard to read the subtitles on the screen unless one had binoculars, which I did. Hard to keep hold them throughout. Not sure how else it could have been done. The repetition was at times tedious.

This was my first event at the Hollywood Bowl. I thoroughly enjoyed the event, but even more so the venue! Will definitely buy more tickets to the Hollywood Bowl. Spent the evening with 5 friends and loved the idea that we can picnic and drink wine and champagne.
