More Details
Boobytrap is a collection of personal monologues and songs all dealing with women's relationships with their breasts. Performed in the black box theater style, these stories and songs were woven together by Maureen Muldoon in a tribute to her mother, who died of breast cancer when Maureen was 13 years old. Her story shares how this tragic loss has shadowed her life and celebrates how she came to accept and appreciate her own beautiful breasts.
“That Spring, when I was nine, cancer stole my mother’s breast. It was all very sudden. One day, they were gone. Uninvited and voraciously hungry cancer would then move into our already crowded home.“ --Maureen Muldoon
These stories are shared to entertain, to provoke thought, to ignite laughter, but most of all, to heal.
Boobytrap is a special play dedicated to raise money, promote awareness, support research and inspire hope in all of those affected by cancer.
