The concept and staging were simple and not over produced. A lone piano with the occasional prop chair or microphone stand when needed. Nothing else to pull focus from the star of the show. It did not even matter that the top billed artist was not in attendance. This show was not about who was performing. The featured star on this night was the music.

Unexpectedly, my seats were wonderful as I sat in the sixth row and could actually see the performers without squinting! The performers were lots of fun to watch and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Although the lead star couldn't make it, there were so many other great performances that I didn't mind too much. I would highly recommend this show to others who enjoyed Wicked and other Broadway productions.

Beautiful location. Great seats. The main "problem" we had was that the top billed performer "Eden Espinosa" was not there. While we understand that she was sick, there should have been an announcement made at the beginning (as they do when you go to a show) and printouts added to the program to alert the audience. We spent the entire show waiting for her only to find out on the last number that she was sick.
There were many other amazing performers...but one of the reasons we bought tix was to see her. So, while it was still a wonderful evening, her absence should have been handled differently.

This was an awesome event, a truly amazing experience. Broadway Unplugged allows the talent of the these gifted singers to be thoroughly appreciated and enjoyed. The only dissapointment was the absence of Eden Espinoza, we had really wanted to see her.

It was a wonderful evening although we were somewhat disappointed that Eden Espinosa was a no show especially since it was advertised with her picture on the front and was the main reason we decided to attend. That being said, the other performers were truly excellent.

I was sad that Eden Espinosa was sick and therefore didn't perform, but other than that it was great! (Though a bit chilly!) I loved the venue.

I was disappointed since Eden was not there. The venue was beautiful though. There were a lot of song we didn't recognize and we're pretty up with our theatre.

Some great moments, and some disappointing ones---like the finale. Jerry Sternbach was excellent.

We were handed a program as we found our seats, but the performances were out of order, different than was printed on the program. The song choices were obscure and most of the cast seemed to be understudies for the main performers in "Wicked". It was just okay.

The event was great. Unfortunately, Eden Espinosa did not perform due to needing to rest, but Julie Reiber was wonderful as well as the rest of the performers. Even having just arrived on a Super Shuttle from a flight from NY, Michael Arden blew the audience away with, "Unusual Way". I'd like to expound upon each and every singer as the show was one amazing display of vocal gymnastics after another but there is not enough room.

My husband and I attended, not knowing what to expect. We had the best seats! 4th row right up in the front by the Broadway stars. It was a wonderful concert. We were just disappointed because the headliner, Eden Espinosa, was sick and wasn't able to perform. Also, we were hoping the stars would sing something from Wicked, since it was the cast of Wicked that performed...but no such luck. Other than that, it was a wonderful show and our first great experience with Goldstar!

I am a Broadway Musical junkie so I was really anticipating this event and was somewhat disappointed. As much as I love Wicked (I've seen it 5 times!) there has to be more singers in LA than the cast of Wicked. The annoucer even was joking about it. My main beef is that most of the singers seemed to be singing at half their level - as if they were saving their voices. There were several stand outs of the evening - Linda Kerns and Jack Noseworthy really let loose and delivered outstanding performances to name two. Another annoying thing was the program - they did not follow the song list as it was printed in the program and they failed to mention what shows the songs were from. It took me quite a while on the internet this morning to find out what play the song Linda Kerns sang was from. For people who like Broadway Musicals this is an important piece of information which should have been included in the prorgam.

not really as described. great singers who have worked in wicked singing some great broadway songs. some of the singer were fantastic and a few alone were worth admission, but was expecting something else. super performances, great theater, very good sound
