The West Coast premiere of Carpe Dream by Pauline Dessler will open at The Theatre District on Friday, August 27th and continue through October 8th, 2005. When a young dancer becomes agoraphobic, she finds that her fears threaten to destroy not just her career, but all that she loves in life. Will a paralyzing fear consume her future? When fear challenges love, The Goddesses of Dionysus and a little feminine "magic" may be the only answer! Carpe Dream is a funny and poignant journey through time, dreams, love and fear.
Artistic Director Macario Gaxiola directs the ensemble cast which includes: John Ainsworth, Jennifer Buttell, Liza de Weerd, Shannon Hunt, Shannon McClung, Lauren McMeikan, Michelle Merring, Amy Rilling, Cynthia Rube, and Ingrid Schaffenburg.
