The band was great. The venue was unorganized, food terrible, but serving people carried on with great energy. The guy who runs this joint needs to be fired. Keep the staff, lose the management...did I say management?

The music was great, however the rest of the evening was terrible. I honestly feel that my 30 food credit should be refunded. We were there at 7pm they let people in at 745 .. They did not take food order until 8:3o by 9pm we asked were the food was they said coming, 9:30 where is my food, well the kitchen is short staffed its coming, 10pm Im straving where is the food, we dont have it yet. 10:10 food arrived it wasnt what we ordered, it was cold and not even what I wanted but by then I would have eaten anything. It was so small that I called her over to order the only dessert on the menu with the rest of my food credit and they didnt have any, go figure. So needless to say I was not a happy camper nor was anyone else. I do not think you should do business with this place and tarnish your good name until they clean up there act. No manger came to aplogize, and they never mentioned in the begining what they are ready knew, I would have gone and got a pizza instead of sitting there straving. So there you have it....

the event was great. However, the dinner service was very poor. I ordered some food and did not receive my meal. I was'nt notified that the food wasn't going to be served. They need more waitresses other than that, the concert was great.

Although Chicago Blues Reunion seems to have a great line-up, some of the main players were not in attendance including Corky Siegal, Sam Lay and Tracy Nelson. Moreover, the band only played for an hour and half before they were rushed out to make way for Safari Sam's DJ club scene. Had this been a full show with many of the blues greats that Chicago Blues Reunion is known for the experience would have been worth the money. Unfortunately, it was not.

Description

Chicago Blues Reunion is a collaboration of Chicago music legends who defined the sound of their generation in the 1960’s.  In that time, they helped created the historic transitioning popular music from acoustic folk to electric blues-influenced rock.  For four decades they have continued to be an inspiration to younger generations that followed their trail-blazing path.

Performers include:

Barry Goldberg (Electric Flag, Bob Dylan)
Harvey Mandel (Rolling Stones, John Mayall, Canned Heat)
R. Zach Wagner (John Lee Hooker, Lowell Fulsom)
Stan Behrens (Willie Dixon, Canned Heat)

Gary Mallaber (Steve Miller, Van Morrison, Bruce Springsteen)
