This is a HARD show to do on a small scale. They did a fantastic job. The live orchestra was amazing, and the artists gave it their all. I'd love to see this ensemble perform again, either this production or another.

There's a certain magic that takes place when you're watching a broadway classic in a small setting, when even the back row is still the best you would have had in a bigger venue and this is what happens with this show. An outstanding performance with a very professional cast of talented singer/dancers made this one of the best shows I've seen at the Hudson.

This was an amazing ensemble. They really nailed it and in a small theater, it was fantastic. The coreography, singing, and acting were remarkable and I'd definitely see this again!

Poorly staged and executed, lights and sound were sub par. Would have enjoyed a little originality on the direction and choreography side. Some decent performers thought there were a lot of questionable casting choices though.

SENSATIONAL! FULLY PROFESSIONAL PRODUCTION, WITH LIVE ORCHESTRA, SUPERTALENTED ACTORS/SINGERS/DANCERS, EXCELLENT CHOREOGRAPHY... FULL OF FUN AND HEART... A BIG FUN SHOW IN A SMALL SPACE... EXCELLENT SONG AND DANCE NUMBERS... (INCLUDING, OF COURSE, SOME THAT WERE NOT IN RECENT MOVIE)... FUNNY FUNNY FUNNY!... SAW MATINEE, SPENT THE REST OF THE DAY SINGING TUNES... YOU CANNOT LEAVE THIS SHOW IN A BAD MOOD!... (NO, I AM NOT RELATED TO ANYBODY IN SHOW IN ANY WAY -- PURELY OBJECTIVE OPINION)... EVEN BETTER THAN I IMAGINED IT COULD BE!...

LOVED IT!!!! Choreography was great, creative and fullfilling use of stage. Velma and Roxy knocked it out of the park. Lots of fun, go see it! I'm going again! Well done Musical Theatre of Los Angeles! Hats off to Bonnie McMahan, producer, founder and great performer! Katrina Lenk was mesmerizing. Male chorus needs some testosterone, a couple of mic gliches, all easily fixed, well done, bravo!

The cast was great. They can sing, dance and act.
Finding a seat was a problem. Theater was somewhat small. Ambience was okay.

This MTLA production of Chicago was positively jaw-dropping. I loved every minute! This company has the razzle dazzle of Broadway. I cannot wait to see it again along with any other productions this company puts on!

I thought they did a really great job with every aspect of the show. they were really fantastic. I would definitely see it again!!
Highly recommend this performance, fantastic.
Billy Flynn had a fabulous voice. Mr Celophane was an a great number, considering I skip over it on my cd. Velma and Roxie were dbls for Michelle Phifer and Nicole Kidman (repsectively). The courtroom scene was clever and so cute, er...funny.
GO!!

This show was spectacular from beginning to end. I was not expecting talent of this caliber at a small theater.
Everyone in the cast was superb , and special kudos to Cheryl Murphy Johnson for her performance.

The venue was small so they couldn't do everything a touring broadway cast could do, but it was still very entertaining and well worth the money!

More Details
Musical Theatre of Los Angeles's rendition holds true to the brilliant creation from the original innovators Bob Fosse, John Kander, and Fred Ebb. MTLA is one of the only theatre companies in the U.S. to have obtained the production rights to the show, outside of the current longest running revival on Broadway, and is excited to share their production with Los Angeles audiences.
This December will also mark the five-year anniversary of the release of the groundbreaking, six-time Academy Award-winning film version, directed by Rob Marshall and starring Renee Zellweger, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Richard Gere.
Based on the play Chicago by Maurine Dallas Watkins
Music and lyrics by John Kander and Fred Ebb
Direction and choreography re-created by Jeremy Lucas (Chicago - Broadway Tour)
Musical direction by Joe Greene ("America’s Got Talent")
Starring Willam Belli ("Nip/Tuck," "Rock of Ages"), Katrina Lenk ("Will & Grace," Iwitness - Mark Taper Forum), David Pevsner ("Desperate Housewives," Fiddler on the Roof - Broadway), Erin Spencer ("CSI," Chicago - Broadway Tour) and Bonnie McMahan
