One Night With Janis Joplin adds some actual Fourth of July fireworks to the musical ones produced on stage, with a post-show barbeque buffet on the Arena Stage terrace -- a prime viewing spot for the famed pyrotechnics launched on the National Mall. First up is the show, a part-concert, part-theatrical event that captures Janis Joplin's life and legacy in all its live intensity. Mary Bridget Davies stars as the rock legend in a performance that has audiences dancing in the aisles and critics raving. Featuring powerful musical numbers including "Piece of My Heart, "Summertime" and "Mercedes Benz," as well as one song Joplin never formally recorded, One Night boasts a full band and a cast including Sabrina Elayne Carten, who plays Bessie Smith, Etta James, Aretha Franklin and Nina Simone. Dead Presidents.  Dead cowboys.  Living Legends…. and you!  By very special arrangement, this once-in-a-lifetime party will have you and yours literally rubbing waxy elbows with the world-renowned wax figures of Madame Tussads.  Madame T learned her craft in Paris in 1793, honing her sculpting skills on the death masks of the executed royalty.  It doesn’t get much more morbidly delicious than that!  In their honor, come dressed as your favorite “dead or alive” celebrity, musician, video game character or superhero.  Where else could you possibly dance to Michael Jackson WITH Michael Jackson?  In a city that can truly appreciate fantastical creations, this photo op will be epic and unparalleled on one of Hollywood’s favorite nights.
