This is my 3rd year at this event. Every year it goes more down hill.
I am going to puke if I see another cup cake... and they werent that good... last year there was a good vendor who made them, but they were absent this year. And one vendor this year sliced his cupcakes in 8 parts... ha ha ha... are you serious?
The ice cream was good, even the cucumber sorbet!
THe added dj was great but would have been better with a dance floor.
hated the room... last year and the year before was awesome.
creme brule was horrible. cheese cake was horrible. anyone with the healthy stuff... this is not a place for you either.
best thing I had was the honey lavender ice cream...mmmmmm.....
and the lattes were very good too.

If you walk out of this event without a belly ache, then you did it wrong!
The Renaissance Hotel is a great place for this event. There were about 20 vendors passing out their treats. Several of the stations had some form of cupcake, but there were also restaurants showing off their high-end desserts. There was also a gelato vendor and two stations with sorbet and ice cream. I was very appreciative of the coffee table and noticed there was a cash bar as well.
All of the desserts were good, well, because dessert is always good, but I wasn't blown away by any of the vendors. I expected a few more tables of really special treats like creme brulee, cheesecake, chocolate lava cake, etc. and fewer cookies and cupcakes.
I talk a big game but I only made it around half of the room before I hit my limit. I am glad Goldstar got me to this event for half price, but I still think it was too pricey considering the dessert options and the small amount of time you spend there.

I was a little underwhelmed by the event. Not as many booths as I had expected. Little variety, the deserts were mostly cupcakes, but the ice cream was delicious :)
