This Movie was great. It really puts you in the holiday mood. The animation was very real. Sometimes you forget you're watching an animated movie. Plus, the holiday show at the El Captian was awesome. All around a great experience.

Great event. There was christmas music, then a Disney christmas show that was really nice. and then the movie. The movie was 3d and they gave u bells (wrist bands) to use during the show, NOT during the movie!! Over all, it was great.

We had a pretty good time going to see this. We got there about an hour before and waited in line until 20 minutes before the start of the show. It wasn't too crowded and we found great seats in the first row of the balcony. The live pre-show was a little cheesey, but what do expect from the Mouse? =) I loved the previews in 3-D, especially the one for the upcoming "Alice in Wonderland" (a la Tim Burton). "A Christmas Carol" was pretty faithful to story we all know and love. It was fun to figure which voices belonged to which actors (Gary Oldman, Jim Carrey, Bob Hoskins, Cary Elwes, Colin Firth). The parts with the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come could be a little scary for little ones, although the scenes with the younger, pimple-faced Jim Carrey were a little creepy, too. Expect the typical Jim Carrey overacting and silliness (hehe... that's what happens when you animate someone that's already a cartoon character himself).

Disney's A Christmas Carol captures the fantastical essence of the classic Dickens tale in a groundbreaking 3-D motion picture event. Ebenezer Scrooge (Jim Carrey) begins the Christmas holiday with his usual miserly contempt, barking at his faithful clerk and his cheery nephew. But, when the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Yet to Come take him on an eye-opening journey revealing truths Old Scrooge is reluctant to face, he must open his heart to undo years of ill will before it's too late.
The stellar cast is led by multi-faceted actor Jim Carrey who, like many of his co-stars, appears in several pivotal roles.
In addition to portraying Ebenezer Scrooge at various ages old and young, Carrey brings to life the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Christmas Yet to Come.
Gary Oldman stars as Jacob Marley, Bob Cratchit and Tiny Tim. The film also stars Cary Elwes, Colin Firth, Bob Hoskins (also in multiple roles), and Robin Wright Penn.
