Rated 3.0 by 3 members who went.
Dungeon Master is a hybrid of theater and improv performed on a stage using actors as the background...and a 6-person party of adventurous audience members, chosen from a list of voluntarily-submitted names before the play begins. The party is supplied with costumes, weapons (foam of course), the use of ten spells (which must rhyme) and given a task which must be completed in the allotted time.

Dungeon Master is a hybrid of theater and improv performed on a stage using actors as the background ...and starring you as one of the main characters. Every show, a 6-person party of adventurous audience members is chosen from a list of voluntarily-submitted names before the play begins. The party is supplied with costumes, weapons (foam of course), the use of ten spells (which must rhyme) and given a task which must be completed in the allotted time. These original characters are guided from scene to scene of a scripted episode. Although each show's original episode is scripted and rehearsed, once the audience members are involved...it is always unpredictable.
All performances will feature a “Meet and Greet the Artists” Reception preceding and following.
Write Act Repertory Theatre
The Write Act Repertory Company produces plays that explore the potential boundaries of theatre. Whether combining the abstract with the realistic or the intellectual with the visceral, Write Act provides both depth of message and quality entertainment. Currently, the Write Act Repertory Company's resident professional playwrights create original scripts developed exclusively for the resident professional actors, directors, designers, and artists-in-residence. Along with our repertory season, Write Act enriches the lives of the multi-cultural community of Los Angeles through our outreach programs with several other non-profit organizations, creating a positive educational and artistic impact within the community.
Write Act Repertory Company's "First Look Series" showcases new works by up-and-coming international writers. These "works in progress" are being nurtured by Write Act Repertory's mission to develop and produce original plays with a collaborative ensemble of professionals dedicated to the craft of developing innovative theatrical productions for the Los Angeles community. The "First Look" process involves the submission of a recommended writer's work, a reading and then a fully-staged production of the "work in progress." Following the staged first production, a Q & A session with the audience, provides the writer with the opportunity to integrate suggestions and feedback into the next draft of the work. The writer, next presents the revised draft of their script for the second step of the process. Once again, the work is performed in front of an audience, and feedback is solicited
