British comedian and actor Eddie Izzard presents Stripped to the Bowl, a stand-up comedy show at the Hollywood Bowl. Izzard's wildly imaginative, absurd monologues have made him one of the biggest comedy stars of his generation in both America and the UK, and John Cleese himself once referred to him as the "lost Python." His Stripped tour, which began in 2008, has been greeted by wild critical acclaim. When he's not doing stand-up, Izzard has been seen in such films as Ocean's Twelve and Ocean's Thirteen, Mystery Men and Across the Universe, and also starred in the FX television series The Riches.

The delicious Eddie delighted those in cattle class at the Bowl by being exceptionally brave in leaping from the stage and running all the way to the summit of the bowl's seating- slapping hands en route both up and down. Despite being utterly out of breath (I personally would have collapsed- or at best needed a power nap) he managed to compose himself and put on a stellar show. We laughed, drank champagne and wine and ate a ton of mephitic cheese doubtless to the despair of our neighbours. But a wonderful evening. I am glad that our British humour translates over here!

Keep it up Mr. Izzard. As always you've left me wanting more...

Absolutely loved the show!

Could not believe he opened the show by running ALL the way up to the back (far back) of the bowl, in the audience.

Great performer & still damn funny.

I love Eddie Izzard to begin with, and this was my first time seeing him live. It was absolutely amazing and entertaining. Especially the part where he ran from the bottom of the Hollywood Bowl up to the top!

What a wonderful evening! Not least of which because I happened to have a seat on the edge of my row...a row that Eddie Izzard ran down on his way back from running up to the top of the seats (!). There really is something exhilarating about being less than a foot from the performer you've come to see.

In any case, a less capable comedian might have been undone by such a feat, but I think it just spurred him on to greater heights. He was hilarious and though I know he's done this show for years, it still felt fresh and off the cuff. What a unique and compelling talent he is!

The inclusion of Youtube animation winners during the "interval" (oh those Brits and their odd words *wink*) was excellent and no one wanted to get up because they were so well done. You know a show is awesome when no one leaves before it ends. If only the Bowl had a way to deal with everyone going home at the same time, sigh.
