Had no idea what went into the making of a Fashion Week show. What stress. Great documentary.
Loved Jay, loved the film! Very well done.
It was an awesome film... very inspirational and informative... showcasing Jay's killer personality... and the evils of Urban Outfitters... proving he will be sticking around for the long haul.
Jay McCarroll had the crowd in stitches with his "Christian Siriano" impersonations... his quick wit and his charm.
Right before the film started he was asked if Heidi Klum or Michael Kors were going to be there. He replied with "We couldn't get the $90,000 together that they required".

We saw Eleven Minutes at the Greek Theater. The venue was amazing on a warm, breezy summer night, and Jay McCarroll was riveting both on stage and screen...it was fantastic. We met some of the Project Runway participants in the parking lot, and they were nice enough to pose for photos with us. My daughter was freaking out (in a good way)! It was a really amazing night.
This was a fabulous event! The documentary was excellent--full of laughter, drama, and excitement. And the venue was great too--watching the movie under the stars at Ford Amphitheater was a truly memorable experience.
Fabulous movie and event - Jay McCarroll at his best. "The movie is real and raw, giving a true glimpse into the life of not only a designer, but an edgy artist on the brink of stardom, fortune and fame within the cut throat world of the fashion industry. The movie, a documentary, allows you to watch Jay's entire creative process. From his initial sketches to the production of the line, to the big show, to the subsequent selling of the line, this move explores the nitty gritty industry and the decision making process. It shows what an artist must go through in order for their work and voice to be heard above all the other noise." Hopefully there will be other screening of this film or it will be picked up by one of the networks like Bravo, IFC or Sundance. Thanks to OutFest for allowing us to see this film!
I had forgotten how much I love the FORD theater... what a perfect venue for this event...great fun!
The venue was beautiful!! I didn't realize that the show would include the designer as well as winners from past seasons of Project Runway! What an awesome surprise and bonus! Thanks for making this a Gold Star event!!

The 1241-seat outdoor Ford Amphitheatre is set against a backdrop of cypresses and chaparral in the Hollywood Hills. It is relatively intimate: no patron is more than 96 feet away from the stage. Music, dance, film, theatre and family events are presented during the summer months. The Ford Amphitheatre Season is a program of the Los Angeles County Arts Commission.
