This living history of the tango mixes the traditional tango quintet -- bass, piano, bandoneon, violin and viola -- and singers and dancers with projected paintings and photographs, some from tango's earliest days in the 1890s. Clarinetist Zinovy Goro and flutist Pablo Goldstein help re-create the early sound of tango. Together, the singers and the Otero Dance Company radiate sensuality and fire, power and melancholy in this portrait of Argentine urban dance tradition.

The show was very nice, even though a bit awkward at the intermission since nothing was announced.

It was a fantastic treat, with a bit of history background and the seductive dancing, singing and live music...BRAVO!

The presentation of Argentinian musicians, song and dance was enchanting. I liked the way the event was staged as if one was at an informal gathering in some Argentinian neighborhood. The venue is also enchanting.....the Ford never disappoints. I wished the show would not stop!

Thank heavens the shuttle ran during the show. We left just after intermission. We didn't care for the vocalists much and found the dancing very disappointing, which was really why were there. At times felt the video and/or slides distracting and needless.
