It was a very nice show. If one was up for ONLY traditional Tango, the first part of the show would've been a bit perplexing - it was more Jazzy and 90% instrumental. Still very good music.
However, the 2nd half was Fabulous; Dancing was fantastic, the singers (both male and female) were excellent and the music was exactly Classical Tango.
In a word - Great!

The performance was good, although I would have liked to see more dancing. The unfortunate thing was that the people who sat behind us talked throughout most of the show, and ate popcorn and other foods with open mouths. We took the shuttle from the Universal Studios metro stop, and on the way back there was a man on the bus who complained to the woman next to him that he should be able to talk during the show if eating and drinking is allowed. Perhaps an announcement at the beginning of the show, as is done in movie theaters, about not adding one's sound track, should be made to enlighten the uncouth.

I really enjoyed the show, but I wish there was more tango dancing performance, instead of first hour was all music & singing.

More Details
Back by popular demand, Del Mate Productions and the Ford Amphitheatre present the third annual Fiesta Argentina 2008, Siempre Tango. This romantic celebration of song and dance offers a total immersion in Argentine culture: from the sensual, smoldering passion of the traditional Tango - romanticism and realism, erotic and haunting, involving both body and soul, to the new and contemporary expressions of the Tango-Jazz.
The concert features famed tango choreographres and dancers Sandor & Parissa, Argentine tango singer Martín de León with Pablo Motta's Los Angeles Tango Quintet, and Argentine wonder pianist Mario Parmisano with his Quartet (featuring Juan Pedro Estanga on drums, Carlitos del Puerto on bass and Jorge "Coco" Trivisonno on bandoneón), from Buenos Aires, who thrill audiences with their fiery tango renditions.
Internationally acclaimed Tango dancers and choreographers Sandor & Parissa have performed in countless television, film, and theatrical productions around the world. Sandor was a principal dancer in the Broadway/London hit show Forever Tango, nominated for a Tony Award for Best Choreography. He is also the creator, director, and principal dance couple with Parissa in Magique Tango Vivo!, which has toured with outstanding reviews. Parissa has worked with Antonio Banderas to prepare him for the movie Take the Lead. Sandor & Parissa have also choreographed for Olympic and World Champion Ice Dancers.
Mario Parmisano has been performing, recording and producing with legendary guitarist Al Di Meola for the past 10 years and has now started his own project; Fiesta Argentina 2008: Siempre Tango will be his USA premiere performance.
Martín de León, adding to his fantastic career, is the main singer for the Forever Tango show and has been touring with the company worldwide for several years.
Pablo Motta was born and raised in Argentina and began working professionally alongside his father, José Luis "Pepe" Motta, at the age of 15. He has recorded music for and appeared in several movies, including Wings of Courage (IMAX), My Father the Hero, and Marlene Dietrich. He has also freelanced extensively as a jazz musician.
