Film Screening: It's My Party
It's My Party Screening With Eric Roberts and More in Person
American Cinematheque presents a special screening of Randal Kleiser's It's My Party
in observance of World's AIDS Day and in remembrance of American Cinematheque co-founders Gary Essert and Gary Abrahams. The 1996 film stars Eric Roberts as a man living with AIDS who finds out he only has a short time left to live. He decides to go out on his own terms, throwing a huge party for his friends and family before taking his own life. Things get complicated when his estranged lover (played by Gregory Harrison) crashes the party. There will be a discussion following the film with director Randal Kleiser and actors Gregory Harrison and Eric Roberts, schedules permitting, moderated by film journalist, screenwriter and producer F.X. Feeney.
