Las Ramonas were not as funny as when i heard them on kpfk. The aztec dancers were terrible. I've seen better performances on No on Prop. 8 and immigrant rallies. Everyone else was great. The way people were parked was terrible. Everyone was stuck there for hours. Who ever was incharge or parking is an idiot. The event was ok but i personally would never go to one of their events again. Overall the event was not well organized.Written on Aug 02 2010

i wasnt aware of the event planned for the evening. I only knew about it because i enjoy the sounds of Ceci Bastida (everyone should check her out!!) and i had yet to go to the Ford.Written on Aug 02 2010
MAN!!! COMDEDY!!! CULTURE!!! MUSIC!!! ECCLECTIC AUDIENCE AND ATMOSPHERE!!!
Just arriving to the FORD, the parking was cheap! and hassle free.
The architecture and design was awesome and so interchangeable (i.e. i could be attending a punk show, or attending a ballet)
There are stairs everywhere but it added a castle like quality. I believe the acoustics were great too! i heard everything loud and clear. Last but not least, the location was welcoming and lush with green, i almost was lost in my own Oasis.
The show itself was full of surprises! I went to see a musical artist perform, I got to enjoy 3 different forms of women with Fire in their Soul! What a big plus! I walked in during a skit performed by Las Ramonas. Grooved to la senorita Bastida! Laughed out Loud to Kristina Wong, was empowered/warmed by Wanda Coleman, all the while guided through the evening by a humble, sweet, MC: Wendy Carrillo...she even sang a little for us too! There is so much more to say! but i need to control the yapping...believe me there is a lot of good to say about this evening and the FORD~
