AJ Jamal as MC was fantastic, as usual. He's great with improv as well as stand-up. He had a co-host this year, she was very talented too! She represented the latino part of the show. My friend and I really enjoyed Urban Dread and LA mabo Combo. The first group we could have done without. I think this event should really be marketed to salseros in LA, they would have really enjoyed it!
All of the groups were great, wonderful and beautiful venue. It is too bad the audience wasn't larger. The M.C. was so funny!!!
I will definitely attend next year and spread the word.
The 1241-seat outdoor Ford Amphitheatre is set against a backdrop of cypresses and chaparral in the Hollywood Hills. It is relatively intimate: no patron is more than 96 feet away from the stage. Music, dance, film, theatre and family events are presented during the summer months. The Ford Amphitheatre Season is a program of the Los Angeles County Arts Commission.
