Artistic director Ana Maria Alvarez and twelve dancers combine Afro-Cuban, salsa and contemporary dance theater to create Full Still Hungry, which explores our relationship with food, along with its social, historical and cultural impact through poetry, music, visuals and movement. The performance and music were wonderful. I took my sister (a former New York City Company ballerina) who was visiting with me and she thought the dancers were amazing! She was in awe of their musicality and interpretation of the struggles minorities face today. I truly enjoyed the performance and we were so fortunate to have a beautiful and clear evening to view this phenomenal performance. The lighting was great and set the stage for a perfect performance. Thank you Goldstar for this opportunity!

Get show very entertaining with high energy. New form of music with Latin/ Urban dance. I didn't like that the venue was out doors. It got real cool, so go prepared. There was no salsa lessons, just some girls doing their own zumba routines, so don't waste your time getting there early. Food is expensive, eat before you go. Other than that the actual performance was great!

It's such a beautiful venue, and in that regard I enjoyed the experience. I didn't love the production. I found the choreography too modern, unstructured, obtuse. It lacked the soul, emotion and passion that I was seeking in what I hoped would be a Latin-flavored experience. The music was not loud enough. The one part where I felt passion was during the "revolution" speech. It came out of nowhere and knocked my socks off. Such a pleasant surprise. Overall, one can't not love a night out at the Ford Amphitheatre - and the price was right. I appreciate the effort of the dancers.
