Having survived numerous bad comedy shows that advertise themselves with names like "Super Sexy Comedian Broads," Ron Swallow wondered where the funny was. Not in the name of the shows...and not during the shows either. So he's putting his own spin on an all-female lineup of comics: Funny Women, featuring six of the most talented and hysterical comedians, hosted by Swallow.

The women were funny! And not vulgar! What a concept!
Fun time. A good assortment of female comics and most of them were on the ball that night. M Bar has a nice plush interior, very comfortable and a good size for doing a comedy show - not too big or too small. $10 min/person isn't too bad of a minimum charge - others are worse, but it's still be nice if it were cheaper, maybe if you sat at the bar. I'd go back again.
I love female comedians. There should be more events like this. These women especially were hilarious.
According to owner-actor Joe Reynolds, the "M" stands for music, martinis and mangia (Italian for "eat"). Enter through red velvet drapes to find a speakeasy-like interior dripping in dramatic red, from the vinyl booths to the server's micro-miniskirt. The crowd is eclectic and the mood is bohemian--low lighting, high artistic vibe.
