orchestra good, sound BAD, seats close, too close. even though we were tier 3 L-X, we got GG.. which is 7th row. this wasn't that great since the orchestra and singers were OVERMIKED. you could hear a pin drop, pages turning, and breathing.. so when the music started, it blared.. and reverbed.. and was out of balance. the horns couldn't be heard over the strings. the vocals mixed with the rest sounded like a train wreak.
i tried to complain to the audio guys but they vanished at intermission so i complained to random staffers. they said it sounded ok in the back and i said, why are you charging people $85 for tickets in front? it sounded like amateur hour in a high school gym. if i paid full price, i'd throw my beer at the stage.
live performances are only as good as the artists, delivery system, and weakest link.. in the case, i have to rate the overall performance as disappointing given this failure. it should have been noticed and immediately corrected. not 8 songs in. i really wanted to give this 4-5 stars, given appearances by Uncharted and Blizzard composers.. but just can't. The other 5 star reviews either don't go out much or are kidding themselves.
