House of Yes, Wendy MacLeod's dark, compelling tale of family dysfunction, has captivated audiences from its debut in San Francisco, leading to an award-winning film version starring Parker Posey. This wonderfully perverse cult classic tells the story of an upper class suburban family whose mannered exterior masks a disturbing family dynamic. When the eldest son brings home his fiancée, it sends his bipolar twin sister into a tailspin, sparking a chain of events leading to an astonishing climax.

The funeral of Sister Rose Marie, an alcoholic religious disciplinarian, brings together twelve outrageously diverse flawed Harlem characters in this acclaimed play by Stephen Adly Guirgis. Sister Rose Marie may have been a mean drunk of an Irish nun schoolteacher, but she caused her former students to examine the many lessons they've learned from her as they struggle against the tide of their lives, sometimes succeeding, sometimes failing, in doing the right thing. And there's one other complication: somebody has stolen the body. Learn More

An enjoyable evening of theater. The two leads were very good. The mother was also an accomplished actor, but it takes a little while understand how twisted her character is and that it is not the actress overacting. The other actors were just okay, but the play is still worth seeing. The ending was good, but not shocking as advertised.

Nice theater on Sunset Boulevard on the western edge of a multi-tenant building.

I thought that this was a fantastic performance of an amazing - my favorite - play. I was especially impressed with the actress who played Lesley. I felt that she NAILED the childlike discomfort of the character. The rest of the cast was also terrific!
