The first thing I have to say is that I do not normally like Hip Hop. This show, however, was thoroughly enjoyable. Lin-Manuel Miranda's performance and lyrics were refreshing as compared to the Hip Hop heard on the radio. The dancing was very good and there was enough humor throughout the show to keep you waiting for the next line. I love the part where they explain how Usnavi got his name! I would give this a 4 1/2 stars if I could. We really liked it! It was a good story and the fact that I don't speak Spanish did not diminish my enjoyment of the show.

Well, this is actually my 3rd time seeing the show. I had the chance to watch the original cast 2x in NY back in 2008 and loved it even back then! Since I’ve seen it already, I didn’t mind grabbing the side orchestra seats (Price Level B). In fact, I believe these seats are closer to the stage than the center orchestra seats (Price Level A). For $30+, I sat in Row X on Gala Opening night with the red carpet experience. NOT BAD AT ALL! For those who still want to sit in center orchestra, just keep in mind that Pantages is huge!! Even where I was which is pretty much midway, I had to sometimes focus to see their faces. I personally think back orchestra is very far and depending where you’re at, the overhang (Mezz) could obstruct your view a little. The stage set is a high one.

Now the show itself! I loved it then, and I even love it more now! It was refreshing because I noticed that they changed a few things. Some actors were more animated and had embellished their lines with even more humor! Don’t go to the show thinking you’ll hear classical melodies. The music is current and Lin-Manuel is just brilliant and talented as hell! The energy in the house was amazing and was well received last night. After almost every song, the audience roared with arms raised high as if it were already the encore. Instant standing o at the end! Perhaps it was also because it was opening night and celebs were in the house. All I can say that it just made my 3rd experience that much more enjoyable!! I'm actually considering to see it again on the last night.. HAHA! It’s a great show, you have to watch it! Enjoy!

The music was either hip hop, rap or pop. None of which I enjoy. The dialog was difficult for me to process.

We loved everything about it -- we laughed, we wanted to get up and dance! Our seats in the second row of the mezzanine were perfect. This is a show I'd go to again.
