The haves and the have-nots come face-to-face in the Broadway hit Good People. Written by Pulitzer Prize winner David Lindsay-Abaire (Rabbit Hole), this Tony-nominated dramatic comedy finds struggling single mother Margie Walsh laid off from her job at the dollar store and left with the reality that her South Boston neighborhood is providing the same level of opportunity it always has: none. It's the kind of place where, for many people, this month's paycheck covers last month's bills. Facing eviction, Maggie's forced to turn to an old high school flame for help. But he's now a successful physician living in the suburbs ... and Margie is way out of her element. With his signature humorous glow, David Lindsay-Abaire explores the struggles, shifting loyalties and unshakable hope that come with having next to nothing in America. Learn More

Upon entering the Lex, we were unsure of what to expect. The theatre itself is very small and old, and my friend and I were a bit skeptical. Once we entered the theatre there was only 5 of us (that's including my friend and I). So even if we wanted to leave we couldnt because it would've been so obvious. Lucky the Actors and story lines were well worth it. I'm new to the play circuit, but I really enjoyed it. Each play varied but they seem to share the common thread of conveying a universal message to the audience. The only reason I gave 4 stars was because one of the plays was an adaptation of God's Breath and it kind of didnt go along with the flow of the other plays. I didnt understand why they chose to include it. Overall for $9, you can't beat it. It provided something new and entertaining for a friday night. Plus its within blocks of Hollywood Blvd, so you can always find something else to do if you werent satisfied!
