Lively, Heartwarming Musical Oliver! at Drury Lane Theatre
- Full Price:
- $35.00 - $49.00
- Our Price:
- $17.50 - $24.50
Based on Dickens' beloved character from the novel Oliver Twist, this boisterous musical follows young orphan Oliver from the dreary surroundings of a workhouse to the streets of Victorian London, where he unwittingly falls in with a gang of pickpockets. Featuring memorable songs like "Food, Glorious Food," "Consider Yourself," "Where Is Love?" and "As Long as He Needs Me," the endearing tale tackles relatable themes: the search for love, the triumph of right over wrong, the hope for a better world, and the belief that life is worth living. Oliver! premiered in London's West End in 1960, debuted on Broadway in 1963, and was made into a musical film in 1968. Learn More

Written on Mar 23 2013Movie themed cirque show. As of this review, I have seen 7 cirque shows and Iris is still my favorite.
Written on Mar 14 2013I know why it shut down... it was nothing in comparison to "O" or "Ka" in Vegas.
Written on Mar 04 2013I've seen several Cirque du Soleil shows and this one was just "ok" for me. I thought some of the humor was inappropriate for children and at one point it seemed as though my head would explode from sensory overload. Overall, I'm glad I got to see it before it closed!!
Written on Jan 22 2013The show has closed and I see why. It was sadly underwhelming. I'm a cirque fan, but this was far less inspired than every other show they've produced. I was sadly disappointed...
Written on Jan 21 2013amazing
Written on Jan 21 2013I got these tickets for my parents and my inlaws and they both enjoyed the show very much.
Written on Jan 21 2013An Amazing show, I was highly impressed. When they come out with a new show I will definitely attend.
Written on Jan 21 2013Although the theme of the event was "A Journey Through the World of Cinema" there was a little too much mutlimedia cinema and too little of the actual acrobatics that have made Cirque so famous.
Great peformances...the show needed more of that.
Written on Jan 21 2013Mesmerizing!
Written on Jan 21 2013Excellent show - the music, artistry, talent - all superb. Too bad it was closing night!!
Written on Jan 21 2013The show was fabulous. Our seats were great till a couple decided to hug which then obstructed our view awhile. Had dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe greT food.Excellant show.
Written on Jan 21 2013Nothing in the world compares the IRIS. I took my best friend for his birthday! He said " it was the best birthday gift anyone has ever given me"
Written on Jan 18 2013the show was fantastic great seats beautiful theatre the performers were amazing
Written on Jan 18 2013MAGNIFICENT~MAGICAL~SO INCERDIBLY AWESOME~ENJOYED EVERY MOMENT.
Written on Jan 18 2013We have been to other Cirque du Soleil Shows in the past. We were looking for a fabulous evening and instead were bored and dissappointed at Iris! It was disjointed, the story line suffered and lengthy and awkward gaps between acts were terrible!
Don't waste your time or money!
Written on Jan 18 2013Cirque du Soliel never disappoints. magical show.
Written on Jan 18 2013Music was delightful, evening passed much too quickly. As always, Cirque du Soleil is very entertaining.
Written on Jan 18 2013Wonderful music, choreography and stage props, very entertaining all together they have a story line. Many things are happening at the same time to keep the eyes and mind busy. Simply any “Cirque du Soleil” show of any kind would be a must see.
Written on Jan 17 2013Great seats! This is my first Cirque show. I really enjoyed it. Great acrobatics, I love how they use digital imagery throughout the show. TIP::You can park on the street, free parking at the meters after 8 PM. Only Pay one hour, and the rest is free! They take credit cards too. The show starts at about 15 minutes past, the drinks weren't too strong but just OK.
Written on Jan 17 2013As wonderful a performance as Cirque usually puts on! This is my 3rd or 4th Cirque and it was great. Great seats!
Written on Jan 17 2013I am delighted to be able to see this wonderful entertainment event before it left. I thought the entertainers were spectacular and talented. I would highly recomend it to anyone and so sorry it is leaving Hollywood.
Written on Jan 17 2013The show was AMAZING!!!! Everyone should see it.
Written on Jan 16 2013Great most of the stuff was like Ive seen before--Las Vegas had the amazing sets this was o.k. Also loved the Comedian in Vegas There was too much repeat acrobatics.
Written on Jan 16 2013Very enjoyable and entertaining. Really liked it. Would be nice if a bit longer. Thought it would be over 2 hours, but a little over 1 1/2 hours.
Written on Jan 15 2013This was the fourth "Cirque du Soleil" show I saw. The only one staged in a theater and the only (planned to be) permanent. Very different from the others shows. Less true circus acts, and more show. Very complex staging, somewhat overwhelming and making it difficult to watch ALL of what's happening on stage. Very creative use of shadows theater, videos and photographs. The setting in the beautiful Dolby theater was perfect for the movie theme. Loved the use of multiple depths of scenery and film strips. Much shorter show than the others I saw.
Written on Jan 15 2013Great show, this is the best venue to see this type of show. No bad seats.
Written on Jan 14 2013Show captivates you from beginning to end. It keeps you in a constant state of "awe" and amazement.
Written on Jan 14 2013Cirque du Soleil is always really good. Lots to see... often WAY TOO MUCH going on. There were points in the show I wasn't sure where to look.
Careful where you get your seats too. Some make it really hard to see stage.
Overall really entertaining
Written on Jan 14 2013This show used to blow me away with the visuals and audio - a 2.5hrs show with an intermission, now it had been reduced to a 1.5hrs show without an intermission! A lot of the acts were cut back... I heard it's because one of the members retired and they don't bother to recast... well, in their defense they're closing for good on Jan 19, 2013... but it's sad to see them not finishing strong and keep the spirit up till the very last of it!
I do love this show, because I love the music by Danny Elfman... all merchandise is 75% off now, the CD is just $4, various T-shirts for around $10 and the keychains / flashlights only around $3 also.. bought a few things to keep the memory alive.
Written on Jan 14 2013Visual overload! Each performance was nothing short of spectacular! I would highly recommend this show.
Written on Jan 14 2013We were excited to see this show since it's run ends this month. We saw it before and it was just as good but not as long. Some routines seemed shortened and others were left out altogether. We hadc really good seats and the price was just right. Had a great time with friends.
Written on Jan 14 2013The show was awesome, inspired, fun, hilarious, stunning, overwhelming. Yay! Better than a 3-ring circus, with many totally unforgettable moments.
Written on Jan 14 2013While perhaps not the most amazing Cirque du Soleil show I have ever seen, it is still Cirque du Soleil, and still worth seeing at all costs.
Written on Jan 14 2013Amazing, had great time!
Written on Jan 14 2013Fantastical!
Written on Jan 12 2013This was such an amazing show. It was really good. The sights and sounds were mind blowing. It's a shame that it will be going away soon.
Written on Jan 12 2013Enjoyed the show, but was disappointed with the seats from Goldstar which were in the back mezzanine section. Paid more through Goldstar than the stated value on the ticket ( and thats before fees). 5 stars for the show and 1 for Goldstar.
Written on Jan 10 2013I wanted to give IRIS 3.5 stars as my category 2 seat in the 2nd row, left 1st mezzanine gave amazing viewing.
PROS: Rooftop trampoline scene with its imaginative choreography was the highlight for me, as well as the trapeze acts. 75% off all IRIS merchandise.
CONS: Mediocre music from Danny Elfman just widened the chasm between trying to marry Hollywood cinema to classic Cirque acts(the atmospheric recorded pre and post performance music just highlighted the difference between good and not so good composers). The French MC and transvestite during the mock awards ceremony were embarrassing, amateurish and tacky. The seats were surprisingly small and the seat cushion the shortest I have ever sat in. The show ended about 9:40 and staff were eager to herd everyone out by 10(morale has definitely been affected by the imminent closing).
Written on Jan 10 2013Shortest Cirque show I've ever seen and I've seen a lot of them. It was okay.
Written on Jan 09 2013No waiting at will call spectacular show. Happy with the ticket prices
Written on Jan 08 20133.5
This was my 1st Cirque du Soleil show ever. I liked it and can appreciate the work the performers go through to do amazing feats. But I just thought the show was alright. Not something super amazing, just cute. I do believe it was more so the story. I want to see a different show.
Also, the seats at the Dolby Theater are pretty horrible. There's no reason they should be directly behind one another with no real leveling. I was lucky there was an empty seat next to me, but spending the time moving my head back and forth was not fun. Also, if you're not on the floor level, the aerial acts are hard to see.
Written on Jan 08 2013The IRIS production was wonderful, very impressed and we thought it was great for the entire family. We thought the length of the production was just perfect. The Dolby theater is a beautiful and our seats were great.
Written on Jan 07 2013Yet again Cirque du Soleil had me captivated. I don't know if they out do themselves each time or if it is just me not remembering back the years it takes me to see another.
So much to see and hear I am sure that one could experience this a few times and believe that they are seeing it for the first time.
Written on Jan 07 2013I had previously seen this event and for $128.00 each had 2 seats in the orchestra. Through Goldstar, I paid $197.00 for 2 tickets which I assumed (very much my mistake) was going to get me great seats. They got me 1st Mezzanine. I had to sit on the edge of my seat and then could not see the acrobats at the end towards the ceiling. I was very unhappy with the seating and will not purchase seating at any other events like this through Goldstar. Plus the performance was much different than I recall.
Written on Jan 07 2013I've been to few Cirque, and this one is my least favorite so far. I love the Cirque performances where there's always a focus on one main performance at a time. With Iris, though there were simply too many things going on at the same time that it was really difficult to focus on any one acrobatic performance.
Written on Jan 07 2013It was a great show. My daughter and I loved it.
Written on Jan 07 2013Cirque Du Soeli’s IRIS: A Journey Through the World of Cinema was excellent. The Dolby Theater was a wonderful venue and the set and lighting design for each scene were fantastic. Each character provided a beautiful combination of acting, performing, and acrobatic stunts throughout the performance. The music was inspiring and up-lifting, and multiple use of technology throughout provided additional feeling and motivation for the audience and performers. The chaotic scenes brought a sense of realism to the program and order was always restored at the end of each scene. I would encourage people of all ages to see this production!
Written on Jan 07 2013Such an enjoyable show. It's a real shame that it's closing. See it while there's still time!
Written on Jan 07 2013I've seen many Cirque shows and there have been quite a few that I have fallen asleep. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time for this one. Very entertaining. Sad to see it go.
Written on Jan 07 2013I had seen it and gifted it to my kids. Jaded youth that they are they still went crazy over it.
Written on Jan 07 2013Not as good as the other cirque du soleil shows I've seen
Written on Jan 07 2013Show was well done, but I prefer other Cirque du Soleil's I've seen in the past.
Written on Jan 07 2013The show was good but the category 2 seats were so far away that we had to lean forward to see the stage.
Written on Jan 07 2013Enjoyable show. Handicapped seats were not advertised very well.
Written on Jan 07 2013A great show...entertainment at it's best! For newbies, you're in for a feast of the senses with amazing visuals (costumes, sets, lighting) and sound, live band intricately weaved to enhance the experience that is Cirque! For those who have seen a Cirque show before, it lives up to it's billing, blending the art of cinema with live performance art. There was so much going on you find yourself looking at so many places on the stage, just so you don't miss a beat. I took my niece for her first Cirque event and now she can't wait for future shows that travel into town. I highly recommend this site if you're seeking an amazing experience at a price you can afford.
Written on Jan 06 2013Awful seats. Very disappointed. Purchased 7 total tickets and the venue literally put us in the last row of the top section even though many other seats (including 7 together) in front were empty. Felt ripped off by price, which is rare considering I've been a long time Goldstar customer.
Written on Jan 05 2013As far as new Cirque shows are concerned, I'd say this is one of their best. This being the "Hollywood" Cirque show, I thought they did a lot of things right. To be honest, I've been spoiled by watching too many Cirque shows, and there comes a point when a lot of amazing circus tricks start to feel just that: tricks. But in Iris, the amazing acts were well choreographed and supported by dynamic sets (from a film set to rooftops of LA) and use of live images of the performers projected on the backdrop. When I saw the show, I believe one of the clowns was missing (one created by the veteran John Gilkey), so I felt there was something missing, but nevertheless, the clowns did a solid job of keeping the audience entertained and tourist friendly.
Speaking of which, I am really surprised and disappointed that they are canceling this show in January. If this show was intended for tourists, I thought it was very appropriate. You get both Cirque's amazing circus acts with a backdrop of Hollywood's glamour and humor. What's not to like? If you haven't seen it, I think it was well worth the price of admission. I recommend seeing it before it closes.
Written on Jan 04 2013Enjoyed. First time for children --9,11,15 and their mother. Easy parkung.
Written on Jan 04 2013This show is more of a play than actual circus performances and stunts. Did not meet my expectations.
Written on Jan 02 2013Iris was good but not as wonderful as it was last year. There were significant portions missing which affected the story line and I really missed Scarlett's solo
Written on Jan 02 2013An unbelievable experience. At times there is so much going on on stage that it is difficult to fully appreciate everything the performance has to offer. We wanted to go back and watch it all over again the next night to see the many nuanced aspects that we couldn't catch in the first go-round. I would recommend this performance to anyone.
Written on Jan 01 2013What a fabulous Christmas present! Full of the same awe and sparkle of some of the many magical memories of Christmas as a child. There couldn't be a bad seat in the whole theater for this show. If you're at all curious,, go see it and make a life memory.
Written on Jan 01 2013Whimsical! Very entertaining!
Written on Jan 01 2013"Iris" has much to recommend it, not the least being its artistic sensibility - slightly irreverent, charmingly playful and quaintly French. It is a visual phantasmagoria, of course, as has been noted by many, playing tricks on the eye that seem decidedly old-fashioned yet highly entertaining. The acrobats are unquestionably talented and both creative and daring, providing plenty of hold-your-breath moments. Sets and costumes are as inventive, lavish and gorgeous to look at as anything you'll see on a stage. The narrative is slight, but who cares when there's this much to look at. Though the show was shorter than when we saw it last, the fun is still there. Sorry to see the production is leaving town sooner than expected. I did pay for an expensive seat with restricted views, but I'll blame that on poor selection by Goldstar.
Written on Jan 01 2013I have seen nearly every Cirque show ever produced since Cirque came on the scene in Vegas. This is at the bottom. It did not really have a focus of theme which I expected to be Cinema/Hollywood/movies. Although some ideas of theme were present...it was very fragmented and most of the show was more like a carnival with a ten ring circus! I can't recommend it and it is easy to understand why the show is closing years ahead of schedule. It is also overpriced for a 1.5 hour event compared to other Cirque shows.
Written on Jan 01 2013This was an awesome show. I really enjoyed it and I would love to see it again. I think because of the type of show it is, I would see something from a different angle that I might not have seen before. There were so many different facets to it and there was always something that kept my eyes glued to the stage. This was my 2nd time seeing a cirque de soleil show and I'm a fan.
Written on Jan 01 2013Take this dog to the pound and leave it there.
May it never RIP
Shame on you Goldstar for giving us $90.00 seats way, way up in the balcony. Have you no shame? Have you no dignity?
Written on Jan 01 2013The show was amazing!!!!
Written on Jan 01 2013Simply magnificent. Well choreographed, impeccably performed.
Written on Jan 01 2013It was not your typical Cirque du Soliel, which was a refreshing twist. Lots of innovative use of technology. Although I like the big top setting for these performers, the theater was just ok.
Written on Dec 31 2012Thought this was one of the better Cirque du Soleil's performances
Written on Dec 31 2012Great energy from all performers, colorful sets & costumes and visual effects were spectacular. A must see!
Written on Dec 31 2012Cirque de Soleil always blows me away. Must see before it ends in January.
Written on Dec 31 2012Seats do matter. Contrary to what this site claims, many Cat 1 seats ruin your day - too far away. Bring bioculars if you get a second floor seat.
The show is not bad, some dull passages even for new watchers. Many seem like re-enactments, though at a grander scale.
Written on Dec 31 2012We really enjoyed the performance.
Written on Dec 31 2012What a show!!! It blew our minds! Really incredible what the human body is capable of doing and everything was just so beautiful... the sets took you to another world, the costumes were divine, and the music... ah! We left Hollywood and stepped inside another world for sure. What an amazing and wonderful show! I highly recommend for every age.
Written on Dec 31 2012Wonderful event.
Perfect for the whole family.
Venue was easy to get to -
Beautiful theatre!
Written on Dec 31 2012Liked it very much, the acrobatics were amazing and sometimes breathtaking. Also liked the humor, it was funny at times. The New York Hotel scene was best.
Written on Dec 31 2012clowns bad and bad taste. some performers not as precise as they should have been. for the price, overrated. not glad I went
Written on Dec 31 2012Loved the show. bought 8 tickets in peak holiday season and received reasonably good seats, especially for 8 seats together. Took kids from 4 to 9 years old, all were enthralled.
Written on Dec 31 2012A clown with a handgun shoots and kills someone on the stage and fires into the audience at a cast member. This is the level of taste we were treated to just a couple of weeks after Newtown. There is much to admire in the athleticism of the performers and in the design teams, but the writing is terrible, no matter how many obscure film references they built into the proceedings. Terrible show.
Written on Dec 31 2012A phantastic show at a phantastic venue. Even with Goldstar still pricy, but worth every penny.
Written on Dec 29 2012Do not purchase tickets through GS for this event. You can do much better on the venues website. Google up Iris discounts. I puchased category 1 seats with Red Velvet and wound up in the back of the Mezzanine. Category 1 at this venue is a broad term and GS's are the worst. Great show by the way, just wish I could have seen more of it.
Written on Dec 28 2012Our seat were in the 3rd balcony, much to high. I thought I was buying better seats. Too costly
Written on Dec 28 2012for Cirque it was ok--frankly I've seen better shows. The performers do amazing things, but the connection with cinema was not as strong as I had hoped for.
Loved the Noir Hotel scene, though!
Written on Dec 27 2012The seats I was given were not in the section that was on the seating chart. I had to sit on the edge on my seat to see the stage. I thought the show was very typical for a cirque show. There was nothing new or spectacular about it.
Written on Dec 27 2012It wasn't as good as it was when it opened. It was done without an intermission so it was shorter and this performance had less energy.
Written on Dec 27 2012Awesome show! A lot going on at times, which keeps you entertained. Well worth the time and money.
Written on Dec 26 2012Fun, entertaining. Shorter than expected and no intermission. Also, not as much acrobatics as other Cirque shows.
Written on Dec 24 2012It was amazing!, we spent such a good time!, not a blink! it kept us at the edge of our seats.. ! Awesome!
Written on Dec 24 2012I have followed Cirque since early beginnings at the tent by Santa Monica Pier. "Allegria" and earlier shows had what current day reivewers call "The WOW factor"! Iris did NOT have "The WOW factor". Only two performances in this production came close to that. First the "twins" male performers on the high ropes, and near the end of the show, the trampoline tumbling staged on a rooftop. The "clowining" sections were particularly weak and didn't have the same impact those performances had in Cirque's earlier shows.
The single female trapeeze artist seemed to spend half of her performance time swinging backwards and forwards instead of actually doing something to make us gasp in wonder.
All in all it WAS an enjoyable show but hopefully you don't have the "history" with Cirque to compare to.
Written on Dec 24 2012This is great entertainment for the whole family. Even if you have seen a Cirque show, this is amazing. We all thoroughly enjoyed the show.
Written on Dec 22 2012so happy we had great seats too! i was a "bit" worried about that. i can't wait to see another show!!! THANK YOU for a wonderful holiday treat
Written on Dec 22 2012Wonderful collage of acrobatics, cinemascope, film, theater, and stand up comics. Worth your time and sensual energy.
Written on Dec 21 2012Too busy. Not enough of interasting and exiting episodes
Written on Dec 21 2012SO AMAZING!!! We always love the Cirque shows, but this one is truly beautiful. A few standouts were the mime with the movieola "tutu", the aerial twins, and especially one of the male dancers (I didn't get his name) in the opening 10 minutes whose dancing was so smooth and effortless that it seemed like visual SILK! I have only seen one other dancer who danced like this. He was absolutely RIVETING! So beautiful! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
Written on Dec 21 2012This is really a beautiful, dazzling show. This is a very specialized artisty, like controtionism, & is breathtaking. I have seen it before & am sad to see it leave the Dolby, it added a certain flair to the Boulevard.
Written on Dec 21 2012Excellent!
Written on Dec 21 2012Spectacular, gorgeous and vastly entertaining.
Written on Dec 21 2012My friends and I enjoyed the show. It has great graphics, costumes, dance, movement, & choreography. The time felt as if we were there for 30 minutes, but it was actually 90 minutes long. Wow!
